"So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned - my conclusion, right? Well, my conclusion is: Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. Derek says it's always good to end a paper with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. 'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."
- American History X
OK, I know this is the strangest thing one can read from beneath the title "Trend Spotter: Collars" but as I told you earlier I want to share things that inspire or move me. Well, today I watched the movie and this last scene and those words did move me. I hope that the quote can reach to you in a way. Unfortnately, my deadly sin is wrath (besides vanity probably ... and pride.. and maybe gluttony.. wow, am I going to hell or what?!).
Let's get back to the point now ...
What do you think about collars?
Obviously, street style loves it, bloggers love it but I am a bit torn. At first I was like: "What the ... collar worn separately from the top?!" but I feel like this for many of the trends that come and go. Eventually I embrace them after I have seen that there are actually many people that can successfully pull it off and look pretty nice. I guess collars will have the same fate.
At the beginning I could not say something positive but during the process of research (yes, I try to prepare thoroughly before I write something) I started liking the collar idea. Probably not "I need to have one NOW!" but more like "yes, it looks good on them but I am not sure about me". And by the way, after that research I can tell you that Shakespeare was one of the first to wear collars and there are billion types of them all with a different name.
I know that this is not exactly broadening my fashion horizons but they are not that narrow concerning the collars anymore. I believe that one should choose what is appropriate for them and should not try to do what everyone else is doing. What is good for everybody is not always good for you, too.
Anyway, enough with the smart talk. What do you think? Is it good for you? Can you wear those collars better than Shakespeare?
Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day and wish me a bit of inspiration because I am completely out of it.

Walk at Richmond Park
"At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. It's like one day you realize that the fairy tale might be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important that it's happy ever after, just that it's happy right now."
- Grey's Anatomy
Yesterday we had a walk at Richmond park which is a place where a lot of deer are supposed to live. Of course, we saw none ... Lucky us.
I had to dress sporty because we were supposed to "explore" the large area of the park and search for deer (what things can people think of doing when they're bored...). Anyway, it got really windy and even cold so V. had to give me his jacket which made him freeze. So our exploration was a bit short-lived but really fun.
And of course my lovely boyfriend who acted like a five-year-old child when he saw the big tree on which he could climb. That picture was followed by a slight panic that he might not be able to get down from the tree.
We had a nice day and that is what is important. I like even those stupid moments because they are the ones to be remembered. And I think that the quote I began with is quite applicable here ...
Well that is my regular sporty wear. Hope you liked it. I plan on starting jogging soon. Keep your fingers crossed that I have the will!
Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!

Rainy Day
"No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main...And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
- John Donne
( I always thought this one is from Ernest Hemingway but apparently I was worng - it is always good to learn something new!)

Hey there!
I had plans for a new lookbook today but as everyone knows plans are created to be ruined in one way or another... starting with the rainy London and a bunch of other things as well. That is why I decided that maybe I could write a post about my boring day at the dorm.(I hate to show you where I live, but that is what happens when I want to study in the UK). Why boring? Because I don't really have anything good to do with my exams over (probably I should enhance the job hunting after I saw some lovely pieces at Forever 21). Anyway, V. is at work, there are some "lovely" dark clouds in the sky so the best decision for me was to hop into my favourite PJ's and kill some time...
Snow White in Wonderland should have a PJ with her lovely dwarfs, right ? :)
Actually, this was a welcome gift from my mum when I went back home for Christmas and I hadn't worn it until today because it has a certain sentimental value to it... long story. Oysho is my mother's favourite store because she has this thing for pajamas and slippers (recently I found out I got that, too) so she just took me to the shop and got me this. She also asked me whether I wanted every single piece in the store but I chose only that one. Suitable for Snow White (who is not that white as you may have noticed).
And my lovely bunny slippers. Guess where I bought them ? :)
Lovely movie, lovely book ... mine doesn't look good anymore because I abused it a few times with my coffee mug ( I know I shouldn't have but when I'm sleepy I don't look where I put my coffee).
And one of my favourte quotes from the book.
No words needed here, haha.
And these amazing chocolates ... to be honest I prefer the simple milk chocolate but these are quite good as well. I don't think that I have ever had better than Lindt. And with my sweet tooth, I have eaten a lot of chocolate.
What more is there for a girl to wish on a rainy day ? Cute PJ's, comfy slippers, good book, amazing magazine and something sweet to make her day. Well, I can think of a few more things - a hot cup of tea, a scented candle and her boyfriend ... but the day is still not over ;)

Silvi, love you and miss you!
Today V. and I had a "tourist day" - we went to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and the Gardens and then - Oxford Street, of course. It was a lovely day and I am exhausted but prepare for a looonng post most of which will feel like sightseeing because it was really windy I was too cold to lose the trench and let myslef be photographed. Sorry about that - at least I will get the chance to show you my lovely blazer again (soon, I promise).
A swan at the Round Pond showing off for a photo.
Peter Pan - The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up ...
This is a lovely installation at Selfridges. On this giant roller coaster there are constantly rolling colourful balls each with one word written and everyone can get one as a fortune cookie I guess... I cannot find the appropriate word in English for that ...a wish? Anyway, the installation was out of order but my boyfriend cannot be stopped and he just took a few ... his was "welcome to the outbound new you" and mine (which I kinda saw before I made him get it for me) "2012 is going to be luxury for you". The emphasis is on the words and their versatility. If you want to find out more or get a better explanation than mine visit this site.
We visited every single brand that I have ever dreamed of - Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Burberry ... I was so happy and miserable at the same time due to the fact that I am a regular student who for now cannot afford such happiness in her life ... at least until I get to earn my own money ... V. got a bit sad as well because he could not buy me the perfect shoes from Louboutin. So when we visited Forever 21 he got me this as a compensation - it was the sweetest gesture and worth more than every pair of shoes.
This is it for now fron windy London. I will keep up with the posts.
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

Trend Spotter: Pastel Colours
“Until you can be true to yourself, you cannot be true to anyone else.”
I know I mentioned that in a recent post but I feel that I did not give enough attenntion to it (probably because I used an old set). Here I chose those which made an impression to me, especially the Alexander McQueen and Acne sweaters. What more is there to expect from a sweater? They look amazingly good and cosy at the same time. As I mentioned, I am really happy and excited about those colours this season.
Did anyone get lucky to order something from the Versace for H&M Cruise Collection? I really liked one pair of earrings but I gave up on the idea of having them ...
I would like to let you know that my exams are now over and I will be able to dedicate more time to the blog. My second semester starts in 10 days but I will definitely have more time to spend. I hope I did well on the exams even though it always could have been better ...
