10 Essential Items for Your Closet: Sum Up

Even a stopped watch tells the right time twice a day.

10 Essential Items for your Closet

 1. - Black Blazer | 2. - Basic Tee/Shirt | 3. - Black Dress | 4. - Comfy Flats | 5. - Trench Coat | 6. - Big Bag | 7. - Scarf | 8. - Dark Jeans | 9. - Stylish Heels | 10. - Sunglasses

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the short absence. I've proved that trying to please everyone is the worse policy ever. Now I will dedicate my time to the necessary stuff and to my own pleasure.

I promised a sum up of the essentials and here they are! It is easier to see and distinguish every item's dignity presented like this. It can be noticed that those 10 items may create a few versatile and stylish outfits.
You may ask why so much black? I know that I've given my reasoning but I will repeat it just in case. Black is a color which is always trendy. It can be combined with every other color scheme effortlessly. Of course, right now the bright palette is fashionable but here we're talking about essentials - those which can be worn no matter the season, the trends and the occasion. The accessories and finishing touches to the look may respond to the latest craze and in that way we can always get the desired outfit. Every other piece that I've included also responds to that criteria. If you'd like to get some more ideas about each item just browse through the posts and check out what I've written for each essential.

Thank you for reading and stay tuned!

The Lookbook - Red Lipstick

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles. "
- Audrey Hepburn

I just couldn't leave you without a post today! I have so much things that I want to show you so I start with the outfit from today. I wanted to combine such a look for a long time now. I believe it turned out quite nice. The main idea was the red lipstick as an accent and the headband. The combination has always been appealing to me. At first I planned to wear more black but white is much more suitable for summer and at the end, the red lipstick stood out really good.

It is a bit late and I have no inspiration for quality writing so forgive me for that.I hope you enjoy the photos and the look itself.

Weekly Instagrams !

I know that everyone is doing it and probably you're sick and tired from all the instaragms flooding the net from all the bloggers but it is so addicting! Quite late I found out that Instagram was finally available for Android and I downloaded it right away just to check it out. I ended up taking random photos and editing them all the time. And by the end of the week I had downloaded 2 more apps with additional filters and effects! It's too addictive I have to admit. So sorry if you don't want to see more instagrams but I am on the top of that craze at the moment so bear with me.

To sum up the photos - I bit of girly time at the airport on my way back from London, a great day and an outfit near the Black Sea,
three friends wearing the same amazing sandals, my sleepy dog, favourite tatty teddy and some street art. Hope you enjoy. You can follow on snow_white_in_wonderland

10 Essential Items #9 & #10 - Black Heels and Sunglasses

"The sign of intelligence is that you are constantly wondering. Idiots are always dead sure about every damn thing they are doing in their life."
10 Essentials: Black Heels

I am finally finishing up with the 10 essentials for your closet. Sorry for taking so long but the important thing is that I will be able to sum it all for you tomorrow.

#9 are the black heels. I know that probably I am not the best person to give advice about heels or pumps but I do think they are important. Every woman should own at least one pair of pretty, versatile heels which can be worn with almost everything these days. The black colour as I have said before, is always on trend and can be paired with everything. If you need something to put on without too much thinking, the black heels are perfect for the occasion. In the set I have chosen Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo and Miu Miu - shoes that every lady would be lucky to own.

10 Essentials: Sunglasses

#10 - The sunglasses.
I don't think that I have to say too much about them. Sunnies are one of my most favourite accessory. It is obvious that they protect the eye form the sun's  harmful rays. That makes them a practical necessity especially during the summer. Their features as an accessory are important as well. For me, they finish up the outfit and give the face certain shape and look as well. But it is vital that you choose shape of sunglasses that is complementary to your face. For instance, I have a small face and when I put huge sunnies I often look ridiculous.

This summer the cat eye sunglasses are on but for me the aviators are the best. The classical Wayfarers are brilliant choice as well.
Here is an update : after aimless browsing Pinterest I found this helpful guide with tips for choosing your type of sunglasses according to your face. It is taken from here. Visit if you'd like to check out the site.

Tomorrow I will sum up everything from the 10 Essentials to have it all in one place so stay tuned! Thank you for reading!

The Lookbook - Summer Casual

"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary" - Cecil Beaton.
(I'm the total opposite of this sometimes so this turn out to be quite inspiring to try something new!)

Hello from Varna! It is incredibly hot in here and I have completely lost inspiration. I don't know why but when I make the transition Varna - London and vice versa, it's like I lose all will to sit down and do something worthy.

But this changes today. I went to the beach for the first time and I can't wait to show you all of my summer ideas. This is the first one. I bought these pants from River Island awhile ago and I am totally in love - they are so comfy, stylish and elegant. The way the make every kind of body look, is amazing - the legs look longer and slimmer. I recommend it for the summer worn with sandals, flats or heels for a fancy look.

I didn't want to put too many accessories because I decided on something simple. The pattern of the scarf goes so well with the trousers that it was perfect for the outfit.

Trend Spotter: Love for Ombre

"There are all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice."
- F. Scott Fitzgerald

Trend Spotter: Love for Ombre

Hair, shorts, leggings, summer dresses - everything is ombre! I love this trend for one simple reason - it brings so much colour and variety to clothes. It is a simple textile feature but so vibrant.  For now ombre scarves, shorts and dresses are on my wishlisht.

Hairstyles are definitely influenced by the trend. I've seen hair dipped in green, pink, blond, blue. Even wedding arrangements and cakes have this lovely transition of colour and that is what makes them special.

I think ombre clothes are perfect for the summer. They even contribute for my true summer mood right now. Moreover, after researching for the topic I am almost convinced that I have to try something similar with my hair. Probably I won't dare with pink or purple, but why not lighter brown or dark blond? It is not a drastic change, yet gives you entirely new look and glow. The celebrities love it and definitely so do I.

Feels Like ... Being Fancy Tonight

Feels Like...Being Fancy Tonight

Today it definitely feels like wearing something fancier and suitable for a proper night out. I guess the inspiration comes from the fact that I haven't enjoyed such event in a long time now and I look forward to an outing with my closest friends once I go back home.

The main piece in the outfit that I chose is the River Island dress. Recently, I have been falling in love every time I enter their shop. So many amazing things and not enough money available for spending. The dress is girly, a bit bohemian it has a Greek goddess quality to it that makes me like it even more. And then there is the amazing Anya Hindmarch clutch which you may remember from Trend Spotter: Glitter Clutches. I decided that this outfit would go great with a faux leather jacket. Enough with the blazers, they are old story. It's good to have something new from time to time and I believe that the dress will fit amazingly with a nice dark brown jacket for the chilly night.

Facebook Page !

Hello everybody! I finally did it... Snow White in Wonderland has a facebook page! I don't know why I postponed it for so long but I decided that since the blog's first year is going to pass soon, it is time that I start taking things more seriously.

There is one simple reason for that and it is that I love writing here! I think I am doing something meaningful not only for myself but for other people as well. That is why I would love to exapand the blog's readership and facebook is probably the easiest way to do it.

You can check out the new page (which is pretty much still blank) here:

And please while you're on facebook visit Animal Hope Bulgaria's Page because your support is much needed there!

Thank you very much !

Sister's Present - Girly Stuff Alert!

"Life is short. Buy the shoes."

Hello! Now get ready for the totally girly me. Today I decided to spend some money and buy a present for my sister. It is a bit early but I wanted to get her something from London before I leave for home. So here is one serious girly stuff alert because if you don't like that sort of things you should definitely stop reading...

Me and my sister, we both love Tatty Teddies... As you already know I have one furry friend of mine and back home I have a dozen of them. So when I asked my sister: 'What do you want for your B-day?' the answer was obvious: 'A bear of course'. Since I am pretty sure she doesn't read my blog because I haven't given it to her, I want to show you what I got her. When I went into Clinton's this morning I felt as if all the bears are familiar and either I have similar or she does.(Even though there was a very cute Military Tatty Teddy but that was completely out of topic.) So I decided to get her all sisterly stuff - a pretty card, a mug (with bears of course) and a tatty teddy plaque.

3 Fashion Crimes Committed Too Often

"If egg is broken by outside force, life ends. If broken by inside force, life begins. Great things always begin from inside."

Today I decided to share what I don't like when I walk on the streets of London. I do get inspired quite often for pretty outfits and I get new ideas by just walking around and observing different looks but there are certain things that have become a trend and they should definitely not be followed as such.

1. Socks with flats/open toe shoes. - Why? Why would someone put on their regular socks with hearts, bears, lemons etc. and wear them with flats? I know that it has become popular to combine them that way but I see no beauty and no sense in it. I do like knee high socks worn with flats - this combination can look really good, but still... And what's with open-toe shoes ? Their initial purpose is to show the toes not your socks. I do not support that and I see no way that it can look pretty. Moreover, it often ruins a beautifully selected outfit.
2. Too much print/too much anything. -
As you already know, I am a fan of simplicity but I still love statement pieces. I have noticed that some people continuously misuse "statements". Not the whole outfit has to be a statement - just a piece of it should be the thing to stand out. Otherwise, you risk looking tacky. "Too much of anything can make you sick" as a popular Cheryl Cole song states. A good example is too much leopard print. I love leopard but when you're pants, bag, shoes and jacket are leopard it's just wrong. Not to mention, different kinds of leopard...

3. Following trends blindly -
"Just because everyone else is doing it I can do it, too" - that is not right at all. Fashion trends are great thing, being informed about them is awesome but knowing what to wear, which trend is suitable for your body and personality is where the mastery lies. As I have said before - accept your flaws because we all have them. And as much as I like nose piercings (for instance) I would never do it because it would make a small flaw of mine stand out.I don't like how I look on photos to be honest, but that hasn't stopped me from writing this blog and being confident about uploading pictures of me all the time. This is not about lack of confidence, it's about reality. It's about your true self and what fits you best.

I hope I haven't offended anyone with my words. If you'd like to discuss further one of the fashion crimes I'd love to.
Hope you're having a great start of the week! Thanks for reading!

The Lookbook - Jeans !

“You are not defeated when you lose. You are defeated when you quit.”
— Paulo Coelho

I have recently noticed that jeans are being unfairly neglected these days. When I browse through other blogs, lookbook or whichever website comes to mind, I realize that jeans are left aside from the trends. And to be honest, the reality has not forgotten about them - they are still the most worn and easy to match item in every closet. I want my blog to show clothes that are trendy, pretty, chic and actually worn by women. So here it is, and even though I have become more versatile and open to new kinds of clothes, I still wear jeans almost every day. And since I know that most of you do too, I decided to share a look that incorporates jeans and shows that they can still be comfy and stylish.

And yes, I am wearing my Butterfly scarf again but you should get used to it. I cannot get enough of it! But this time it has another beautiful detail which adds a lot to it - the brooch.
